This setup is my go-to for fishing for coho in Puget Sound. It involves combining a hoochie with an Ace High Fly.
This setup was taught to me by a friend, and always produces fish for me.
My favorite color combination is a purple haze hoochie with a green splatter Ace High Fly inserted inside.
Simply slide the Ace High Fly inside the hoochie, and then rig and fish it like normal.
The result looks like this – you can see how the colors combine, as well as adding extra “legs” for movement and a bit of flash.
